Chart Types

Chart Update Schedule
- Daily charts: Published before 6 PM EST (10 PM UTC) — covers the previous day
- Weekly charts: Published after the charting week ends; week runs Friday → Thursday
How Rankings Work
Spotify uses a formula (not raw stream counts) that:
- Protects chart integrity
- Ensures all user voices are reflected
- May exclude certain streams (e.g., bot-like behavior)
This means chart stream counts may differ from what appears in the Spotify app or Spotify for Artists.

Spotify Wrapped (Annual)
In addition to real-time charts, Spotify releases Wrapped each December — a year-end recap of top songs, artists, albums, podcasts by region and globally.
